Ebony Jewelwing. The only black-winged damselfly (male).
Funnel Web Weaver Spider on a bush outside the house. Taken early in the morning after a rain. My presence along with a tripod, 40D, 150mm Sigma macro and hand-held flash (not used for this particular shot) 8 inches from his face didn't faze him at all. But if I touched the bush he ran back into his funnel, out of sight. So I had to position everything and then take a walk while he calmed down and came back out. Then he would stay perfectly still no matter what I did. Hence the f/11, 1/13 second exposure.
